Falfield WI 100 years 2024

Falfield WI started in 1924 and we’ve recently celebrated our 100th birthday with an excellent meal at a local venue.

Jam, Jerusalem and Calendar Girls
During the war Falfield WI certainly made hundreds of pounds of jam and we sing Jerusalem at our monthly meetings but The Calendar Girls we leave to others. We look to support other groups within the village and take part in village events.
Falfield WI is a friendly group of ladies and we have about 50 members who live in Falfield and the surrounding area. We normally meet in Falfield Village Hall on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm with a variety of speakers, handicrafts and our annual picnic. The hall has plenty of parking for those who need to drive.
In addition to our regular meetings members can also join our monthly craft session and walk as well as other one-off activities which have included Christmas wreath making and visiting Gloucester Cathedral.

All ladies are very welcome to meet old friends or make new ones, so please come along and we’ll meet you at the hall or if you would like some more information, please contact our Secretary at falfieldwisecretary@avonfwi.org.uk
